How do I connect a subdomain to my Tilda website?
Tilda does not provide domain name hosting. It means that you cannot transfer a domain or subdomain to Tilda but you can modify the domain or subdomain records in your domain name registrar account.
Subdomain examples: blog.website.com or www.website.com
- Log into your account on the domain name registrar's website and go to Settings.
- Find the DNS Zone Editor and click Add New Record.
- Select an А type record. In the "Host" field enter your subdomain name. For example, blog or www. Point it to the IP address 185.215.4.66
- Go back to your Tilda account. Enter your subdomain in Site settings → Domain. Save the changes and republish all pages.
Note. It is quite common when only a subdomain points to Tilda while a root domain remains connected elsewhere.
Note. A subdomain can be only assigned to the Tilda website. It means that you cannot assign a subdomain to one of the website pages.
